Seems reasonable to me.The interface doesn't tell you how many pages the total document will be, there is just a running tally at the bottom of the screen showing how many pages you've combined into how many pdfs over the history of your installation. For a more difficult test, I just combined 114 pdfs-114 MB of files total - to 1800 pages in a single 142.3 MB file and it took 70 seconds. The basic concept for merging 2 pdf files is the same for whatever version of OS X you have. Here I am dragging a new pdf file after page 1 of the first pdf file.
